About this inbox
- Only conversations from roughly the last 2 weeks appear — that is what this WhatsApp connection syncs.
- Inside a conversation, older messages may be missing too. Scrolling back stops where the synchronised history begins, so it may not go all the way to the first message.
- Group chats appear alongside your other conversations. A member who is not in your contacts shows as their phone number — WhatsApp does not share contact names for group senders here.
- Status updates and channels are not shown.
- A soft chime plays when a new message arrives while this tab is open — it keeps listening at a slower rate in the background. Use the bell in the toolbar to turn it off.
- A “new” dot is tracked by this dashboard only. It does not reflect what you have already read on your phone.
